i'm so thankful it's the weekend

i am beyond exhausted.  i think between crazy work, everyday personal chores, scrapbooking, and sleeping, i’m extended 6 ways to sunday.  it doesn’t help that i’m having monthly feminine issues, too.  ugh ~_____~;;   i hate that every weekend i seem to be sleeping just so that i can make it through another work week.  i guess that’s just the reality of life, though.  ah well.

had to cancel with mizue earlier this week because i had a headache that night.  hoping to meet up with her again later this week.  she emailed me to tell me that she went to mitsuwa in new jersey and bought me a shodo text book that we could work through together.  she’s SO nice.  on a side note, i think the shodo that i did for my co-worker turned out pretty well considering how little time i had to prepare and practice.

been gabbing with teruyo on fb.   i miss her so much!  i’ve been feeling so nostalgic as i scrapbook through everything.  march still feels so far away even though i know it’s only half a year.  i wish i could go back this week.  have continued to apply for japanese positions starting in march.  found a kyoto arts residency that i may apply for as well.  it’s for a short time, but is a paid residency for artists to create their artwork in the area.  i’m thinking how awesome it would be to compose pieces about uji.    i never thought i’d be able to make a living immediately out of college composing or singing; especially in this economic climate.   it’s a pretty long shot, but what the heck.  also applied for a teaching program for teaching english at the university level.  it sounds soooo good to me.  the hours are longer than with other companies, but it sounds more like the kind of english tutoring/teaching work and age group that i enjoy.  here’s hoping that i am contacted!!

finished Geass season 1…how could they end it there!?!?  holy crap.  started season 2 and thought i had the wrong series for a moment until i realized that there was something very funky going on in the storyline.  now i’m just mostly annoyed that the climax of the first season was a fake out and that i have to wait for essentially the same thing to happen again so that i can see what finally happens.  …that is unless there’s a 3rd season and they do it again or worse yet give us a half-assed CLAMP-esque ending.  for all my CLAMP-loving ways, i have to say that their endings are usually really lame…so here’s hoping that the writers of Geass, at least, are able to pull something better out of their asses. ~____~;;
