Shakugan no Shana

So, since there is a new series of this out and I stumbled across is on a site I usually get eps from I thought it might be nice to see what all the fuss was about so I got the first series. So far I have to say its fairly interesting. Shana (who is names by Yuji after her sword) and Yuji have a blossoming relationship (as is the staple of any sorta anime with young ppl and magic). Dont actually know why that is, but it happens alot (like in Zero no Tsukaima, Index etc).
Anyways, this first series consists of introducing the characters, letting us in on a plot or two, some of which are over before they start (lol) which makes you wonder why they were there in the first place but thats alright.

The characters themselves are well done, each having a set of abilities and personality that is different to the others. The costume of each character is unique to them, even the bit part baddies get a dress up for their part. Overall this gets about a 7 out of 10 because I havent finished watching it yet but I can kinda predict where its going, and the whole “I technically cant die” thing isnt going to stop them from trying to kill him methinks.

Good watch if you like things like Zero no Tsukaima, To Aru Majustsu no Index, Kyou Kara Maou and Kaze no Stigma

House of Five Leaves Anime In The Works For 2010

Yes, it really looks like this.Ono Natsume, the author of Ristorante Paradiso, now has two manga that have anime adaptations on his resume. The latest is House of Five Leaves (Saraiya Goyou), a period piece about a gang of kidnappers, headed by the silver-tongued and inscrutable Yaichi, who hire a timid ronin named Akitsu Masanosuke as their bodyguard.

According to the ANN article on the announcement, House of Five Leaves will air on Fuji TV in the Noitamina programming slot, which has hosted such popular anime as Nodame Cantabile, Paradise Kiss, and Moyashimon. Viz has been posting translated chapters of House of Five Leaves for several months now on their SigIkki website, and I have to say that in spite of the strange-looking art, House of Five Leaves is a fascinating read so far. I’m looking forward to 2010 more and more, after a dry spell in 2009!

Sasameki Koto - 07

Yay, moar trap!

And that sister has various issues, like borderline incestuous tendencies and the fact that she is so controlling of her brother and his… errrr… sense of manliness. The brother is not any better, he lets her get away with it just because someone told him that siblings grow farther apart as time goes on (which is total bull, and I would not be surprised of later we are told that the sister is the one who told him that) I am glad that me and my sister are not weird like that, we only do normal stuff like watch anime and read manga together and normal stuff like play video games and chat to each other on facebook even though we are sitting right next to each other. Not weird at all. Really, all and all. There is no anime that is really breaking my expectations. The last one to do that for me was Bakemonogatari, and before that Eden of the East. I think that if I had not read the Railgun manga I would be enjoying it a lot more than I am now. It is kinda hard to watch the stupid “Go on a date” thing in any anime for me because I have seen it done before – it’s nothing really new. I think the last time I have seen this was in that “???himisu purezza???” anime, which sounds like a while ago, but was only about a month ago for me. Watching the same old events in different animes annoys me.

Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood 31 - The 520 Cens Promise

Yeah.. Since he's not with E-li-za-beth today

Episode 31. Yeah, nice episode title…

The episode focuses on creating their new plans to be commenced. Expect tear jerking moments and some new recruit, well not that new. Anyway, let’s start…

Scar: "My masterpiece!"

The episode started with Envy saw Marco dead (special art made by Scar). Of course, everybody knows that Scar likes to crush faces so Envy presumed that Scar made all this.

..and you should assassinate him like... a hundred times before you actually kill him

As Edward prepares to leave, Riza told Edward that if ever she got any news. Also, Edward told Riza to tell Roy that Scar is back.

He also thanked Riza for telling him about Ishbalan

Not want RanFan Pie instead?

Edward meets Alphonse and told everything. He asked what he will do when he got his body back, which Alphonse replied that he is going to eat some of Winry’s pie. Edward decided that they should go to Granny and their Master first.

Edward also told Alphonse his own discovery, that people can’t use alchemy as well during their fight against the ‘father’. So, only Scar and May Chang is the only one there who can use alchemy.

They called Dr. Knox immediately, but they are too late. May Chang already went out

Roy: "Where did my subordinates went again?"

Roy’s group starts to bid goodbye to everyone as they are being sent from different location.

Riza visited Roy to get some of her belongings. Riza encourages Roy and left shortly after that.

Roy is now alone and starts reminiscing his team’s dedication for their plans and how everyone is taken from him. However, he hasn’t admitted defeat yet.

Roy: "Does this looks good on me?"

Roy picks up the Elric brothers, who failed to get a clue where May Chang is.

During the ride, Roy asked for the money Edward burrowed. Edward declined and told him that he’ll return it ‘once’ he became the Fuhrer.

Roy drops them by their room. He said that he can keep the money but he will eventually going to get it back.

Dun Dun Dunnn....

Upon arriving inside their room. Fu, the old geezer, was waiting for them.

Believe it or not, this is Santa Claus

Roy started his own plans. He went to a bar to see a woman named Madam Christmas. We all know where this is going….

Grumman: "About time I get the screentime I deserve"

Grumman got a call from Madam Christmas. The officer told Grumman to avoid giving the private line to civilian people. Grumman replied that someone has a job for an old man like him.

RanFan: "At least I haven't lost my seiyuu"

Fu scold Ranfan for her terrible lost but later cried for seeing that RanFan really lost her arm.

Fu thanked Dr. Knox for saving RanFan, so is RanFan herself. Due to having rare occasions like this in Knox’s life, he went tsundere and scolds everyone to get out of their house.

As Fu and RanFan went away, RanFan promised that she’ll definitely get even with that Homunculus.

Knox:"...another ceiling..."

Knox is now alone and being emotional while remembering those people who thanked him.

Adding to his melancholy, his wife and son visited him. His son told him that he’ll become a doctor just like him. Knox invited them inside afterwards.

While taking care of the coffee, Knox cried for the blessing he had.

And you're going to run out more

Then we go to Kimblee…

Kimblee was reminiscing his past (when he killed those officials) when the guards told him that he’s getting freed. It is later revealed that the Homunculus did all the work.

Envy picks him up. He said that they got a shortage in labor and wants him for the job. Envy told him to return Marcoh and kill Scar. After that, they revealed that they are planning to wipe an entire city again.

Envy gave Kimblee another stone for a power up. Of course, Kimblee accepts it gladly.

Scar showing his muscles

Scar is talking to Marcoh. He told him that he needs help in analyzing his brother’s research and to tell him about that Kimblee guy. He also said to Marcoh that his brother was talking about this country’s alchemy being strange.

May Chang join the group. Scar introduced him to Marcoh and told her that he is responsible of creating the philosopher’s stone. May Chang ask how to gain immortality but Scar said that no one should want that kind of thing…

Scar afterwards destroyed Marcoh’s face for safety (or just to ease of his irritation for him). May Chang treat him afterwards

Scar said that their next destination is to the north, where he hid his brother’s research.

_________________________________

The Lazy Prince:

Nice episode. Heartwarming and also declaring the start of the new battle. Now that Kimblee’s back in action, what more do we want?

It is also nice to see that the groups were doing their jobs separately (even though it’s hard to blog it if ever they started shamming it). I wonder what will the Elric brothers do next…

Next Episode:

Nice… nothing to say here. See you next episode~

PSA: Aoi Bungaku is the new show to watch this season.

If you’re in the need of a new, seriously good show, this is your destination.

I just felt the need to make this quick post to draw attention to Aoi Bungaku. This is the must see show this fall.   It does not excel at animation as it’s one of those less commercial titles that do not get a large budget to flaunt. The music is fantastic and the effects are unique and downright…effective. Add to this realistic characters and a tearsly paced story with some first person narration and you have a speical show. Madhouse is at it again.

Watch it the impressive mood it creates and see what else you get from it.

Confession. Bleach Marathon End. Time for an About page.

Today, I have a confession to make. It’s something I have long forgotten but suddenly came up last night as I was watching Taishou Yakyuu Musume.
When I was 9 years old, I almost killed someone. -.-”
.

When I was 9, I had this classmate, a close friend, known as the Boogerman… literally. He had this insane ability to dig up the biggest boogers you have ever seen. In a local dialect, we would call him “Bei-C-Chai”.
.

.

Everyday after class, we would have 20 minutes to pack our bags, go to the washroom, get some drinks, just doing whatever shit we have to, before the gates open and the school bus departs. During that time, we would be like monkeys escaped from the zoo. We’d climb trees, roll things down the stairs (accidentally of course Xp), splash water at each other, break some windows (also accident -.-”), and others.
.

Then one day, somehow, someway, we got the “coolest” idea. Let’s play catch… with rocks!

Uhh… Sure, that sounds like fun!

The idea was one throwing a rock, the other trying to catch it. We’d each take turns. You know the drill.
Only difference is, instead of throwing it directly at each other. We’d throw it up high, at an upward angle, like a rainbow. Think Javelin…

So I took a look around. Found a pebble. Picked it up. Shouted to my friend, Kelvin (just remembered his name) to get ready.
Wind the old motor up. And swing!

The pebble flew and flew and flew. Then started to come down and Kelvin got ready.

Pearak!

Pebble dropped on the ground. Kelvin didn’t manage to catch it.
.

Then it was his turn, took up a random stone. And threw it at me…
I got ready, ready, ready…

Pearak!

Didn’t manage to catch the stone too. My turn!
Looked around…

WoooOOOooaAAaaaahhHHHHhh! There is no way Kelvin’s going to miss this shit.

Picked up a rock the size of my palm. I still remember wrapping my first around it and still I couldn’t cover the rock.

Retracted my arm as far as I could, made a few Popeye-armed rotations. Took a deep breath. And Launched that bitch!!

Probably because the rock had some momentum being heavy and shit. It really flew high. Eyes stopped looking at the rock and looked at Kelvin as he got ready to catch it.

He took a step back. A step front. A step back again. Put’s his hand up reaching out, getting ready to catch the rock.

BBBBBBBBBBBBBBBB AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The rock landed SPOT ON!!!… On his freaking head!!!!
.
.

He fell on his butt, looked at me for 2 seconds or so, blood flowing down his face, and faints. o_0!!

I was about to go into shock-and-shout mode when the buses started beeping their horns.
.

Oh shit! The buses are leaving, I’m going to miss the bus!!

I ran as fast as I could and managed to get on the bus before mine left. Reached home, watched tv, had dinner, watched more tv, and slept. I totally forgot about Kelvin.
.

Off topic: Green Lantern (the comic) rocks!
.

Needless to say, I was punished first thing in the morning the moment I step into class. There our homeroom teacher stood, next to her was Kelvin, whose head was all wrapped up in bandages like some snake flute dancer, and all the students’ eyes were on me.
.

We never talked to each other since then. Till the end of the year, he changed school and we never saw each other again.
.

.

This is something I’ve never shared with my current friends. Even the closest ones. -.-”

Anyway… Kelvin… Boogerman… If you are out there. I apologize.
Only thinking about it last night did I realize how thankful I should be that nothing permanent happened to you. I would have been traumatized.
.
.

.

Next… :p

Finally caught up to ep 243 in Bleach. And decided to stop there. Why? Cause the next few episodes will probably blow the farking roof off. So I rather save up enough episodes instead of watch 2 and be left hanging with anticipation.
.

RaWWWRRrrrRRAAAWWWRRR!!!
.

But before that, anyone thinks Kira’s eyebrows are slightly messed up?
.

And the phoenix guy actually looked serious for once.
.

I was tempted to post up some battle sequence screenshots that I liked. But that would mean a thousand pictures, or maybe more. Lol!
.

.

Thinking how I’ve been Bleach crazy the past 4 days, I thought I’d post up one of my fav Naruto soundtrack, just to keep the Narutard in me going.
.

Haruka Kanata by Kung Fu Generation
.

My fav Naruto theme ever. I remember listening to this at work (years back when I was a System Analyst) and got carried away. Cranked the volume up so loud that the boss came into the staff’s work area and looked at me. Lol!

Sigh… I miss the days when Naruto (the anime) rocked the world. The current shippuden is just a pile of crap when compared to the original.
.

.

Lastly, I think it’s about time to work on my about page. Just feels funny without a nice little introduction. Especially if I do actually get new visitors. Lol!
I already have an idea in place, just rather watch and finish off Taishou Yakyuu Musume before I start working on it.

Yay! More moe goodness… Xp

Case Closed: Season 1 Set

Famous Detective Conan

“Case Closed” (“Metaintei Conan” or “Famous Detective Conan”) was a series that was hugely popular when I lived in Japan, on the same level as Naruto and One Piece, but one that I just never got around to viewing. There was no particular reason for this, and I always wanted to check it out, but…I didn’t. (Strange too, because I am a huge fan of the two authors Conan takes his name from, Edogawa Rampo and Arthur Conan Doyle.)

When I finally go this Funimation release of “Case Closed Series One,” I popped in the first DVD to expecting to give it a quick watch and that was the end of my Saturday. I got sucked in and spent the next several hours watching episode after episode until I had almost watched the entire box set in a single day. I polished off the rest of the set the next day!

Obviously, “Case Closed” is a lot of fun, and a great anime series. There is a reason it is as popular as it is. Telling the story of teenage detective Kudo Shinichi, a popular and handsome high school student who is also a famous detective, Shinichi finds himself caught up in a case featuring black-coated members of a secret crime organization who poison Shinichi to keep him off their tails. Instead of killing him, the poison shrinks Shinichi down to a child-sized body while keeping his intellect intact. Realizing he is better off playing dead for the moment until he can find a cure for the poison, Shinichi adopts the alias of Edogawa Conan after two of his favorite mystery writers and continues on solving mysteries.

“Case Closed” is only about half “boy Sherlock Holmes” with the other half being “boy James Bond.” Conan’s ally Professor Agasa serves as Conan’s “Q,” setting him up with high-tech gadgets to help Conan compensate for his childlike body and to add some action to the series. The episodes are pretty evenly split between mystery-orientated showing off Conan’s detective skills and full on action/adventure.

There is a big ensemble cast to help along, like Mori Ran, Conan’s lady interest back when he was the full sized Kudo Shinichi, but who now treats him like an Elementary school student, and Ran’s father Mori Kogoro, a bumbling detective who manages to take the credit for all of Conan’s discoveries. Conan also gets himself a little gang of “junior detectives” made up of his elementary school classmates who help out from time-to-time.

The big laughs of “Case Closed” comes from Conan having to deal with being trapped in a kid’s body. Here is someone with a genius IQ being sent back to elementary school and being given rabbit-shaped balloons from girls when he would rather get a kiss. The series does a lot of good with this rather odd plot point, especially when dealing with Ran and her “babying” of Conan all the while longing for Shinichi, never realizing they are one and the same.

The only real drawback of the series is a nitpicky minor one. I realize that there are some legal entanglements from using the name “Conan” here in the West, due to its association with Conan the Cimmerian rather than Arthur Conan Doyle, but I am not a fan of the new title “Case Closed.” Also, when doing the English-language track Funimation did more than just dub the series but gave it a whole “Western overall.” Kudo Shinichi became Jimmy Kudo. Mori Ran became Rachel Moore. I didn’t like this when it was done with the series Card Captor Sakura (Daidoji Tomoyo becoming “Madison Taylor”) and I don’t like it here either. Fortunately, with a quick swipe of the remote control button, the Japanese-language soundtrack can be selected and all such worries fall away.

I am definitely a Conan fan and will be picking up the rest of the series!

Seitokai no Ichizon 3.

X-rated Katamari Damacy

If you guys remember from my earlier post of how I stumbled upon the discovery of ‘Dead Fantasy’ videos. If you guys knew or understood how I felt, this is the same feeling I got when I have found something so hidden and fantastic! Here, I thank the guy who has invented the internet!

Not many people in the world knew what Katamari Damacy is, but I’m sure that most of the gamer know what it is. Its tuneful, mellow music and the joy of rolling the ‘garbage’ ball, has captured millions of hearts yet, I knew that this game always has a ‘darker’ side to the facade.

I’m glad that someone has the same view as me (but obviously better at animation). Please see after the break the sinister, dark and unadulterated katamari damacy as you have never seen before!

ero-sennin

1 senedir korkuyla bekliyordum bu anın gelmesini. mangada okumuştum afedersiniz ağzıma sıçmıştı. anime halini kaldıramam herhalde diyordum. gerçi izleyeli 2-3 gün oluyor ama hala yazarken zorlanıyorum.animelerdeki erotik hareketin mihenk taşlarından senseilerin kralı myabozukan dağının bilge gama-sennin’i jiraiyamı geçenlerde bir kere daha ölürken izlemek durumunda kaldım. bleach üzerine bir şeyler yazmam gerekiyor. hiç merak etmeyin 2. part oscar’da halledecek kısmetse.

jiraiya naruto’dan bir karakter. erotik romanlar yazan bir ninja. hikayede gücünden sürekli bahsedilir.esaslıdır,yamandır,civelektir. naruto’daki karakter sahiplenme etkisinden nasibini en çok alanlardandır. hala klavyenin tuşlarına basarken zorlanıyorum. fantastik kelimelerle süsleyemiyorum yazılarımı.bağışlayın. başın sağolsunlarınızı beklerim.
